Well, May marks the 5th anniversary of the founding of AirStat, Inc.
So, Happy Birthday to us!
It was just an idea that we might be able to start a company and offer first class service in the light aircraft charter market. The process was arduous. It took two years to obtain the FAA Air Carrier Certificate, a process that began in 2005. But in May of 2007 we had it! An Airline of One was born. The aircraft we started with was the Piper Navajo Chieftain. As far as light twins go, it was a suitable plane with its combination of speed and payload capability.
The KingAir puts a lot of places within an easy three hour or under range. Bahamas, New York, Texas, south Florida. It is a great all around aircraft. Very roomy and comfortable.
Well, we are looking toward the future and thinking about expansion plans, so who knows what will be on the horizon. For now, we will keep flying the KingAir.
Its a quiet celebration but the 5 year landmark is exciting. They say any business that makes it 5 years will make it for the long haul. And that’s what we are here for….the long haul. Or the short haul. You call…we haul! Anything, Anywhere, Anytime!
I had a customer call recently who wanted to be put on a list of people who would like to join with others in taking a Bahamas trip. I admit it can be difficult to coordinate schedules and stuff, but if it is something of interest to you, then drop us a line and maybe we can get a trip together which would be a great cost savings. Two hours from boarding and you too can be in the Caribbean!!
